Ok, how about a little learning and levity? We recently watched this little gem of a movie staring Cary Grant; Mr. Blandings Builds his Dream House. Mr. Grant plays an advertising executive who dreams of getting out of the city and building a perfect home in the country, only to find the transition fraught with problems. While entertaining as a story it shows the issues homeowners face in building and remodeling, and how homes were constructed in the mid-1940's. (P.S. check out the depiction of the Realtor) |
